Tapestry Weaving: The Art of Flow
I teach tapestry weaving as a process for creative flow and personal grounding to groups ranging from craft enthusiasts to domestic violence survivors. The structure of my classes include light technical instruction and short exercises for design inspiration from the physical environment and inner self; however most of my class is a time of self-driven exploration, without prescribed rules or patterns. Although my classes are built around beginning weavers, the free-flowing structure are suitable for those who have tried their hand at weaving before.
I’m currently teaching classes with String Thing Studio in Park Slope in Brooklyn.
